How we work
-
Documentation gathering · 2-5 days
We collect: updated electrical certificate, CUPS of your supply, cadastral data, roof plans and current electricity contract.
-
Technical report · 5-7 days
We draft technical report with calculations, single-line diagrams, coordinates, equipment characteristics and measurements. Signed by authorised installer in LV.
-
Submission to Industry · 15-30 days by registry load
We upload report + CIE to Junta de Andalucía portal. Industry issues resolution of inscription in RIPRE (autoconsumo registry).
-
Connection with E-Distribución · 20-40 days by distributor
We request connection and technical access contract signing. The distributor verifies metering point and authorises surplus injection.
-
IBI/ICIO bonifications · Variable by town hall
If your town hall offers bonification, we submit application with documentation we already have. Reduces your IBI for the period set by municipal ordinance.
Frequently asked questions
How much does legalisation cost separately from the turnkey package?
For a standard residential installation up to 10 kWp, complete legalisation (technical report + CIE + industry registration + E-Distribución connection) is around €400-700 by complexity. If you contract turnkey installation, legalisation is included at no extra cost.
Do you process subsidies?
NO. Subsidies (INEA, Next Generation, regional aid) require expert knowledge of specific calls that change yearly. We document what's available and refer you to a specialised consultant. IBI/ICIO bonifications WE DO process because they're standard municipal procedure.
Can I legalise it myself if I bought the materials?
Technically yes but not viable in practice. Technical report and CIE must be signed by authorised low-voltage installer with civil liability insurance. If you bought materials separately, we can do just the legalisation.
What if Industry denies the inscription?
Rare but it happens if documentation has errors. We make corrections and resubmit — inscription doesn't expire and we don't lose queue position. We guarantee complete legalisation or refund the procedure cost.
How long until everything is legalised?
Between 30 and 60 days from when we have all documentation. Physical install can be assembled before — but until Industry + E-Distribución approve, technically you can't export surpluses to grid.
Does the legalisation work if I later change electricity retailer?
Yes. Inscription as autoconsumer with Industry is independent of your retailer (the company you have your electricity contract with). If you change from Iberdrola to Naturgy etc., your autoconsumer status remains.
Do I need a building permit from town hall?
Depends on the municipality. Most of Costa del Sol and province now accept responsible declaration or prior communication for residential PV. In zones with heritage protection (historic centres, BIC), a licence may be required. We verify at the start.
Legalisation is the part that separates a physical installation running from an installation legally registered as autoconsumo with right to surplus compensation. Without these procedures, panels produce but you can’t sell the surplus to the grid nor benefit from municipal bonifications and tax deductions.
Why this service exists separately
Most clients come with the full turnkey package — see main installation service — and legalisation is included. But there are 3 cases where contracting just legalisation makes sense:
- You bought materials separately (in marketplace or store) and need authorised installer for the technical report and CIE.
- You have an old non-legalised installation you want to regularise to benefit from RD 244/2019 surplus compensation.
- Another company installed but went bankrupt or didn’t finish legalisation — we pick up the procedures where they left off.
What this service does NOT include
Subsidies (INEA, Next Generation, regional aid) are NOT included. They require knowledge of specific calls that change yearly, and legal responsibility of the application falls on specialised consultants. We refer you to one we work with. The municipal part (IBI/ICIO) yes we do because it’s simple administrative procedure.
When it makes sense to contract it
If you’re going for new installation, contract the full turnkey package — it’s more economical and we coordinate better. If you have a specific situation from the 3 above, write to us with basic case data and we confirm viability and price in 24-48h.
